AMD Radeon HD 7990: the Return!

AMD Radeon HD 7990 board preview

It’s not the first time we talk about this dual-GPU videocard (see HERE and HERE). But now, rumors are over
and AMD has confirmed during the GDC 2013 that HD 7990 reference board is currently in the works and is almost done. The Radeon HD 7990, codenamed Malta, is made up of two Tahiti Pro GPUs (the GPU of the Radeon HD 7950). The HD 7990 will have 6GB of GDDR5 memory and two 8-pin power connectors for a maximal board power of 375W (it’s not the TDP, which should be lower). The Malta based card should be priced at around $1000
