Intel has officially announced its new 13th Gen processor family yesterday, during the Intel Innovation 2022 event. The 13th Gen (codename: Raptor Lake) family includes 6 new unlocked desktop CPUs (with hybrid architecture: Performance-core and Efficient-core):
- Core i9-13900K: 24 cores / 32 threads, iGPU: UHD Graphics 770 – USD $589
- Core i9-13900KF: 24 cores / 32 threads, no iGPU – USD $564
- Core i7-13700K: 16 cores / 24 threads, iGPU: UHD Graphics 770 – USD $409
- Core i7-13700KF: 16 cores / 24 threads, no iGPU – USD $384
- Core i5-13600K: 14 cores / 20 threads, iGPU: UHD Graphics 770 – USD $319
- Core i5-13600K: 14 cores / 20 threads, no iGPU – USD $294
Intel has developed a new chipset for the Raptor Lake CPUs: the Z790. But current generation 600-series motherboards (Z690) can be also used (a BIOS update will be mandatory). DDR4 and DDR5 memory modules are both supported.
Raptor Lake CPUs will be available on October 20 2022.
