AMD has officially launched today the new Ryzen 5 family. Ryzen 5 processors (14nm process) are available in 6-core and 4-core versions and include 4 members:
- Ryzen 5 1400: 4-core (8 logical cores) @ $169 – CPU cooler: yes (Wraith Stealth) – 65W TDP
- Ryzen 5 1500X: 4-core (8 logical cores) @ $189 – CPU cooler: yes (Wraith Spire) – 65W TDP
- Ryzen 5 1600: 6-core (12 logical cores) @ $219 – CPU cooler: yes(Wraith Spire) – 65W TDP
- Ryzen 5 1600X: 6-core (12 logical cores) @ $249 – CPU cooler: no – 95W TDP
The Ryzen 5 1400 / 1500X target Intel Kaby Lake Core i3 and i5 while Ryzen 5 1600/1600X target Intel Core i5-7600K.
