AMD has released the January 2012 edition of its WHQL-certified graphics drivers for Radeon based graphics cards. Catalyst 12.1 drivers do not support new Radeon HD 7900 series. For HD 7900, you can use this driver: 8.921.2 RC11.

Catalyst 12.1 is an OpenGL 4.2 driver (exact OpenGL version: 4.2.11399) that exposes 233 OpenGL extensions for a Radeom HD 6970 (see HERE for the complete list of all extensions).
