Intel is launching the Core 14th-Gen processors, a refresh of the previous 13th-Gen CPUs. Three new processors are launched:
– Core i9-14900K (24 cores / 32 threads, max frequency: 6.0GHz, max power: 253W)
– Core i7-14700K (20 cores / 28 threads, max frequency: 5.6GHz, max power: 253W)
– Core i5-14600K (14 cores / 20 threads, max frequency: 5.6GHz, max power: 181W)
Today, Intel launched the new Intel® Core™ 14th Generation desktop processor family, led by the Intel® Core™ i9-14900K. This latest-generation desktop processor family includes six new unlocked desktop processors at launch, delivering up to 24 cores and 32 threads and up to 6 GHz of frequency right out of the box. Additionally, the Intel® Core™ i7-14700K arrives with 20 cores and 28 threads thanks to four more Efficient-cores (E-cores) compared with the prior generation. And Intel’s Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) now features the new AI Assist feature, bringing one-click AI-guided overclocking to select unlocked Intel Core 14th Gen desktop processors.
The 14th-Gen processors are built on the same silicon than current 13th-Gen with more cores and faster clock speeds. The integrated GPU is still the same, the UHD 770.
Existing LGA1700 motherboards (based on the 600-series and 700-series chipsets) will support new 14th-Gen CPU via a BIOS update. And new 700-series motherboards will come with 14th-Gen support out of the box.
The latest version 7.13.1.5 of Intel XTU (Extreme Tuning Utility) is available with 14th-Gen processor support.
