Zotac announced the GeForce GTX 580 AMP2. This GTX 580 features a big 3-slot VGA cooler (actually it’s a 2.5-slot cooler, the Zalman VF3000) with two 92mm fans. Zotac’s GTX 580 AMP2 comes with a factory-overclocked GPU @ 815MHz (reference clock is 772MHz, see HERE) with 512 CUDA cores, and 3GB of GDDR5 graphics memory (twice the amount of the reference board) clocked at 4100MHz effective (or 1025MHZ real speed).
The ZOTAC® GeForce® GTX 580 AMP2!™ Edition boosts gaming performance by doubling the video memory of standard ZOTAC® GeForce® GTX 580 graphics card for a total of 3GB of video memory. The 3GB of video memory ensures the ZOTAC® GeForce® GTX 580 AMP2!™ Edition is able to render the latest Microsoft® DirectX® 11-enabled games and applications with maximum details and performance at resolutions up to 2560×1600.
“Enthusiast gamers demand the absolute best performance available. With the ZOTAC® GeForce® GTX 580 AMP2!™ Edition, we are able to boost high-resolution gaming performance while reducing noise levels and temperatures,” said Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC® International.
Zotac GTX 580 AMP2 bundle includes the game Assassin’s Creed®: Brotherhood.
Too bad this wont’t support SLI!
Why do you say that? I see at last one SLI connector… I agree with you for 3-way SLI but 2-way SLI should be ok.
I am actually quote annoyed that the 3GB gtx 580 have all been 3-slot cards. The only one if my memory serves me correctly is the one from Palit that requires only 2. But if running multiple cards definitely need water-cooling solution. I hope they could make this cooler smaller and performs greatly on air.
