Hi Team,

I am using furmark benchmark to stress GPU and I see we can provide maximum time duration(max_time) for which Furmark can run as parameter. So wanted to what will be maximum time limit for which we can run the furmark without any damage to the GPU  or system.

I have read in some other sites people mentioning to run Furmark for half hour(0.5 hours or 30min) but it is nowhere mentioned in the official website. So wanted to get confirmation from this channel as this is the official site where we can ask queries.

Thanks in Advance

The max time duration depends on what kind of test you're doing. One hour can be fine for checking a GPU. I know that some hardware manufacturers can run FurMark for days (and weeks in some extreme cases)...

Don't forget to set the power target to the max (something like +115%) to really stress test your graphics card.

Thanks for the response.

As I mentioned in the above first mail I am running furmark benchmark but not furmart stress test, so what does below sentence means in case running furmark benchmark?

Don't forget to set the power target to the max (something like +115%) to really stress test your graphics card. which you mentioned in the reply to my query. And how to set power target to max, and where to set? could you please clarify.

Thanks in Advance

In any case (benchmark or stress test), setting the max power target allows you to get the most out of your GPU.

To set the power target, you can use a tool like MSI Afterburner or ASUS GPU Tweak 3. In both tools, you will easily find where to set the power limit.
