"MSI Kombustor 4"

Where can I file a bug report for this tool?
I'm having trouble running the "(GL) msi-02 (PhysX4 GPU - hard)" test. Kombustor won't start the test and it doesn't produce any error at all.

JeGX

If there is something in the log file, try to post it here. Does the PhysX4 CPU work?

I could not find any log file. PhysX4 CPU works fine.

I can confirm this issue.
Log file _log.txt reads
unable to load the demo (geexlab/k02/main.xml).

Another thing:
with any demo output of WinDbg is flooded with
(3df8.48c): Unknown exception - code e24c4a02 (first chance)

JeGX

Indeed, the demo doesn't work. Looks like it's missing  ???
I will fix it as soon as possible.

Could you make the program to produce log somewhere else apart from Program Files? It seems that Kombustor could not produce log unless I run it as Administrator.

JeGX

If you install Kombustor with admin rights, does it work better?
I will try to add an option to save the log in another place.

I tried installing with admin rights but it still not working. The log is not produced unless I run the exe file with admin rights. Seems like an issue related to folder permission tho.

Thanks. I will add a workaround or something similar.
I also found the PhysX4 GPU Hard bug (it was really stupid!).

Hi!

I have a laptop with RTX 2080 (not Max-Q). CPU/GPU are not overclocked. Have no problems playing heavy loaded games.
Latests drivers from Nvidia are installed.

When I run any of PhysX 4 GPU/CPU Stress tests with the Artifacts scanner turned ON, it always starts to count artifacts from the very beginnig of the test, no matter if the system was cold or hot.

Though, i don't see any noticeable artifacts on the screen, except, maybe, for a few incorrect objects overlays, like in the first picture on this page:
https://www.geeks3d.com/20190822/msi-kombustor-4-1-0-released/ - some bricks are partially inside the wooden plank.

So, do I have to worry about a hight artifacts count in PhysX 4 tests? Or it's normal, because the PhysX technology is not perfect?

Thanks in advance.

JeGX

Sorry for the delay, I didn't see your post.
It's a bug, the artifact scanner should be disabled with PhysX 4 test. The nature of the demo makes artifact scanning impossible.
