New SDKs Released for Vulkan 1.1.92.0 with new Vulkan configuration tool, vkconfig

LunarG has released new Vulkan SDKs for Windows, Linux, and macOS based on the 1.1.92.0 header.  These SDKs contain a new Vulkan configuration tool, vkconfig, as well as support for new Native Linux packaging for Ubuntu. Read on for an overview of new additions to the release and links to the release notes and the SDKs.
Overview of additions:
 
  • vkconfig, a new Vulkan configuration tool -- a graphical application that provides an easy interface for specifying and configuring layers
  • Native Linux packages for Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04. For instructions on how to access and install these packages, navigate to the SDK page on LunarXchange and select the "Ubuntu Packages" tab in the Linux section
  • Many new Vulkan extensions
  • Bug fixes and improved validation coverage

 NOTE: If you previously installed SDK 1.1.92.0, you must install 1.1.92.1. There was a critical loader defect in version 1.1.92.0 that has been fixed in 1.1.92.1.
