Hi sir,

I had a problem need help.
When I run GPU Caps Viewer 1.37.0 - 3D Demos - OpenCL CPU - 4D Quaternion Julia Set, it will popup "OpenCL CPU not supported on the selected platform", why tool show that? that mean my CPU is not support?

My fail system is Notebook, Intel CPU + NV GPU, and i check OpenCL page, Device only show Number of CL deivces:1.
But another system Intel + AMD is pass, and OpenCL page is show devices:2, and i can found CPU information.
May i know which behavior is correct? and why other is incorrect? how can i fix it?

JeGX

CPU OpenCL demos are supported by AMD and Intel only. NVIDIA does not provide CPU OpenCL and supports only GPU OpenCL.  You can try to install the AMD OpenCL SDK on you system to get software OpenCL.

Since Nvidia 390.65 not work anymore, only crash.  >:(
But I saw in a pic that 1.37.1.0 was used, but where I can get and download it?

Is there something in the log file? Could you please post it?
The v1.37.1 will be soon released.

Hi,
I'm using the newest portable GPU Caps Viewer on Windows 10 64 Bit (newest Version) on different PC's and LapTops with different graphic Cards.
When I click the button More GPU Info.. I receive on every System the error .. gpushark.exe cannot be started correctly (0xc0000005)...

How can I solve this Problem? No other Problems on all Systems no AV System only Defender and no Tuning apps.

Can you run gpushark.exe in Windows explorer?

upapi_geeks

Hi,
thanks for your response.
QuoteCan you run gpushark.exe in Windows explorer?

No, same problem.
But I think I have found the reason for this error. On all PC's where I tried to run gpushark.exe I use Windows Defender. In every Defender the force randomization... (ASLR) option is ACTIVATED (default: DEACTIVATED).
Setting this option to the default value, then gpushark.exe works like a charm. Btw: that is the reason why the newest GPU-Z doesn't start. The developer used a buggy EXE compressor. Solution is still undergoing.

So, I can live with the workaround not having gpushark.exe running as long as ALSR ist activated. But wouls be great, if this can be fixed someday.
regards
Uli

Thanks for your feedback upapi_geeks!

GPU Shark is also a compressed exe. I just tested with ASLR ON and indeed, GPU Shark crashed. The uncompressed version works perfectly. And good news, I just found a new exe packer that works fine with Windows Defender ASLR protection. I will update GPU Shark asap!
