Need help with 1080Ti
« on: June 05, 2017, 10:50:40 AM »
Hello, geeks, I got a non-specified problem with video card

Recently I bought ZOTAC 1080Ti Blower Edition and used it for couple of days on my PC with 550 Wt corsair CX550 PSU. Ain't got problem with PSU before and everything seemed smooth with new video card.

During round of Battlefield 1, PC shut down and didn't recover, turned out PSU died, so I bought new 650 Wt PSU. However it wasn't enough because turned out my MB, ASUS Prime H270 Pro also died, so in service center they gave me ASUS Z270 P for couple of week while they repair my MB.

So actual problem is that in games now I experience quick stuttering from time to time, like in BF1 I already saw sign of low FPS, this didn't happen before PSU died. Same in Forza 3 and GR: Wildlands.

I tried FurMark to see if video card also damaged, but everything was OK with 105 FPS average.

Could you please tell me how could I test if video card failing me and should I return it to service cener?

It might have to do with your settings in Nvidia control panel for that default applications. Check it with what your optimal settings would be or change them to default and see what happens.
