Title: Bullet Physics SDK 2.88 and PyBullet released
Post by: Stefan on January 02, 2019, 07:44:58 PM
Bullet Physics SDK 2.88 and PyBullet (https://github.com/bulletphysics/bullet3/releases/tag/2.88)

A lot of work this year went into improving PyBullet (https://docs.google.com/document/d/10sXEhzFRSnvFcl3XxNGhnD4N2SedqwdAvK3dsihxVUA/edit#heading=h.2ye70wns7io3) for robotics and reinforcement learning research.
The SDK was used in several published research papers by Google Brain Robotics (https://ai.google/research/teams/brain/robotics/), including our RSS 2018 paper "Sim-to-Real: Learning Agile Locomotion For Quadruped Robots" , see the video here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xf_UXK0OTIk)
Some of the improvements are related to maintaining determinism when saving and restoring a simulation, and improving the accuracy of GJK convex collision detection and btMultiBody.
