What is PuTTY?
PuTTY is a free (MIT-licensed) SSH, Telnet, Rlogin, and SUPDUP client for Windows systems. SSH, Telnet, Rlogin, and SUPDUP are four ways of doing the same thing: logging in to a multi-user computer from another computer, over a network.
