AMD has published yesterday a new version of its graphics driver for Radeon graphics cards. Here is the main changes:

Highlights

– Radeon Boost using Variable Rate Shading with Elden Ring, Resident Evil Village and VALORANT.

Adrenalin 22.7.1

Adrenalin 22.7.1 exposes OpenGL 4.6 and 273 extensions (core profile) or 267 extensions (compatibility profile) for a Radeon RX 6800 XT. Looks like AMD has cleaned up the extensions list by removing more or less 60 extensions. In previous Adrenalin 22.6.1, 331 extensions were exposed in the compatibility profile. All GL_AMD_xxxxxx extensions have been removed! Many GL_EXT_xxxxx (like GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc) have been removed too. I feel that some OpenGL applications will be broken with this driver! The OpenGL SPIR-V extensions enumeration returns now 0 extension. Bug?
