1 – Overview
NVIDIA has officially launched the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti today. This new member of the GeForce family comes with a new GPU: the TU116 built on the Turing architecture. The GTX 1660 Ti has the same CUDA cores than GeForce RTX series but does not have tensor cores (then no DLSS) and does not have RT cores (no accelerated ray tracing support). That explains the GTX in place of RTX. But other features like mesh shading or Variable Rate Shading are present.
The GTX 1660 Ti competes with the Radeon RX Vega 56 and is neck and neck with the GeForce GTX 1070.
The GTX 1660 Ti is priced at more or less USD $300 (reference price is $280) depending on the graphics card maker.
