A new update of GLEW is available. GLEW 1.5.7 adds the GL_NVX_gpu_memory_info extension and fixes some compiler bugs as well as a bug with glGetPointervEXT.

You can download GLEW 1.5.7 HERE.

GLEW (OpenGL Extension Wrangler Library) is a library that checks and initializes all OpenGL extensions supported on the target platform.

GLEW is the most popular OpenGL extensions management lib but there are also GLEE or Biggle that offer the same kind of functionalities.

If you plan to use GLEW with an OpenGL 3 or 4 core profile, don’t forget to read these posts before:

I’m really curious when do they plan to fix that core profile bug. It looks that stuff is hiding in plain sight or something. Funny, huh?

This is strange, as I’ve been using the forward-compatible profile with the last version of glew, and didn’t experience any problems. Maybe AMD has glossed over this bug?
