Randall (from Vizworld) just send me a screeny of the Unigine Heaven 2.0 score of a
GeForce GTX 480: 908 (36.0 FPS) with the following settings:
– Direct3D 11
– res: 1920×1080
– tessellation mode: extreme
– CPU: core i7 960 @ 3.2GHz
The score of a Radeon HD 5870 with a core 2du E8400 CPU in extreme tessellation is : 553 (22FPS) (see HERE for more details). Pay attention at the difference between the core 2 E8400 and the core i7 960. I don’t know how much the Unigine heaven is CPU dependent so the Radeon HD 5870 score might be greater with a core i7 960…
hey Randall, could you please take a shot of the rig that hosts the GTX 480 ?
Well, I’m not the one snapping the pics 🙂 I’ve asked my man on the inside to try and get the pics, but apparently that’s a good bit more difficult right now.
hehe GTX 480 NDA is almost over…
LOL okay that my VGA does not have the technology of GF GTX480 more my Benchmark was much better than the GTX480 I have a HD48070X2 see below
