NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 and GeForce GTX 470

NVIDIA Fermi - GF100

GeForce GTX 480 and GeForce GTX 470 will be the official names of the first GF100-based graphics cards.

Looks like NVIDIA has changed a bit its naming scheme: GTX 4xx will replace GTX 3xx. Maybe to mark the difference with cards such as GeForce 310.

Graphics card look like “bricks” currently.
Aren’t we supposed to decrease the size, price and power consuption with the time and not the opposite? For the love of God, look at your mobile phone now and 10 years ago…

Its nvidia they can’t keepup with ATI.
I remember when ATI was about to go under, it looks like it maybe Nvidia that is going to go down. its 2010 video cards shouldn’t be bigger then the case they are going to go in. I have a cheap ATI card a 4650 that out runs my Nvidia 260. maybe not out run, but the screen looks alot better then the 260. I’ll never buy Nvidia again ATI all the way.

i am not sure whether ATI is better .. but my nvidia 8600 GT can support OpenGL 3.2 openCL 1.1 CUDA physx .. man i totally satisified with this card .. ATI doesn’t support OpenGL properly and also opencl is supported on 4800 series and don’t even think about physx or cuda .. even though it supports ATI stream it doesn’t have as good performance as cuda.
