This new version has received the WHQL certification from the Microsoft team and adds support for GeForce 9-Series mGPUs: 9400 and 9300. This driver supports all GeForce 6-series, 7-series, 8-series, 9-series, and 200-series GPUs.
ForceWare 178.15 for Vista were released few days ago and now the XP version are available. This new graphics driver seems to be just a small updated of the previous WHQL driver.
A new set of ForceWare graphics drivers for all GeForce graphics cards is available. From this thread these drivers are WHQL but NVIDIA does not officially support them.
NVIDIA has released today a new set of ForceWare graphics drivers for Windows XP and Vista.
– WHQL-certified driver for GeForce 6, 7, 8, and 9 series GPUs.
– Improved 3D performance and load times for GeForce 8 and 9 series GPUs in some DirectX 9 and OpenGL applications as a result an improved shader optimizer.
– Supports single GPU and NVIDIA SLI™ technology* on DirectX 9 and OpenGL.
Note: Quad SLI technology with GeForce 9800 GX2, 3-way SLI technology, and Hybrid SLI technology are only supported on Windows Vista.
