FX Composer 2.5, the latest version of NVIDIA’s powerful shader development environment, has been released.
FX Composer supports DirectX, OpenGL, HLSL, Collada FX, and CgFX, as well as the .fbx, .x, .3ds, .obj, and .dae file formats for importing geometry.

Version 2.5 adds:
* DirectX 10 support, including geometry shaders and stream out
* Particle Systems
* Visual Styles

GPU benchmark tool for image processing

Here is a small benchmark that try to compare several optimized Intel OpenCV library functions with their GPU analogs, written using OpenGL and GLSL shader language.

Because I can’t resist, here is my score (Core 2 Duo 6600 default clocks, Radeon HD 3870 Catalyst8.5, WinXP 32-bit) with Resolution multiplier set to 4:
