Jon Peddie Research (JPR), the industry’s research and consulting firm for graphics and multimedia, today announced estimated graphics shipments and supplier market share for the second calendar quarter of 2008. The research firm says the economic turndown didn’t have an effect on the GPU market as GPU sales dropped only 0.5 percent from Q1 2008 – that’s the smallest drop in eight years.
