About two months ago our beloved Turrican passed away in a horrible car accident. He was a big part of our community and is still Austrias only overclocking lengend! Out of my sadness and anger I started to work on this project as a virtual monument, something to honour him in our scene. It's an homage to SuperPI, that Turrican benched on every possible platform, an application that calculates pi completely parallelized on a graphics card. So let's get our gear going and do exactly what our Karl showed us in all his years: Bench the hell out of it!

I got running i5-2500K@4.5GHz and GTX 580@reference-stock 3GB-344.60WHQL:
At 32 millions-digit:
-> GPU

result: 0.681s

-> CPU

result: 17.313s

GPU is 25.4x faster than CPU! :D

GPU - 1 billion-digit: :D

result: 57.095s

Can GTX 750 series run this demo after Fermi and Kepler failed?

If the videocard is NOT damaged PHYSICALLY then you may bake your card - but... FIRST should watch film about tutorial in youtube. :)

Good luck! ;)

GpuTest / Re: Failed to complete a test - What does it mean?
« on: August 12, 2014, 05:37:14 PM »
G8x (your videocard as 8600M GT) has up to OpenGL 2.x/3.x support but OpenGL 4.x requires Fermi (GF 400- or 500-series) or newer card. lool

I can't test because this program connected to server - loop running Win 7 x64 SP1. :S
Ok. Problem found is EVGA PRecision or MSI AfterBurner running. This tool closed solved my problem! But Windows 7 may be abnormal and I will format HDD soon. ;)

Thank,

General Discussion / Re: only ~50 fps in ShaderToyMark before bench
« on: April 09, 2014, 12:00:45 AM »
I have changed from "multiple display performance" to "single display performance" in NVCP and... I can improve performance to insane framerate in STM!!! :D

EDIT: But... Close NVCP. Re-start STM and I got ~90 fps. I'm weird. :S

I tried to choose "Core PhysX SDK", "APEX SDK"... and to click button "Agree & Download" but I can't download because click this button -- loops. :S
the loop happens if you forget to login
Now, I can download but on past sunday, NVIDIA may have problems. ;)

General Discussion / Furmark (Win): average bug

Hi!
I detect "average" bug in Furmark 1.12.0.0 because mathematically the average must be superior than minimum.

General Discussion / Re: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW hands-on review
« on: February 27, 2014, 05:03:53 PM »
Ok. Why have you replaced videocard? But GTX 750 Ti isn't important because it hasn't any newer version of shader model yet. And you don't get good upgrade after your GTX 465.

This game may have not benchmark tool... But I got 62 fps (capped).

Any GeForce 400-series required or newer GF card works both samples due to DX 11 hardware. :)

My GTX 480@stock-reference (GeForce driver 331.65 HQ) gets ~163 fps (1024x768 windowed on desktop 1280x1024) on "TressFX11 v2.0" and ~88 fps (max windowed on desktop 1280x1024) on "TiledLighting11 v1.1" running Win 7 x64 SP1 and i5-2500K@4.5GHz. Both samples use default camera/settings.

I'm interested this demo. :) Please do you put here or PM (private message) download for Windows?

My specs are i5-2500K@4.5GHz, 2x4GB RAM DDR3@1600MHz, GeForce GTX 480 and Windows XP x86 SP3/7 x64 SP1.

But I got no more than and always 30 fps (CPU AMD X6 1055T@stock) but maybe this performance may be capped.
I confirm ~32 fps capped, after upgrade from AMD X6 1055T to Intel i5-2500K.

I got error message during intro "WP7 2012" without "applocale" used. ;)
