Title: Computex 2009: NVIDIA demos DX11 Compute and Terminator Salvation PhysX
Post by: Stefan on June 01, 2009, 04:56:35 PM
At the first of two NVIDIA press conferences at Computex 2009, NVIDIA was showcasing GPU computing and the power of the CPU + GPU platform for both high-end desktop solutions and low-end ION systems.

NVIDIA also took the chance to demonstrate a couple of interesting DirectX 11 DX Compute examples: one of a calculated ocean surface and other of a smoke cloud generated by a car.

An upcoming expansion to the PC title Terminator Salvation was also shown for the first time with PhysX support.
Side-by-side footage of the game in action can be watched at PCPER (http://www.pcper.com/#NewsID-7240).
