Fixed issue in the LightWave scene importer.
Unstructured LightWave content directories, where e.g. object files are placed next to scene files, are now supported by TNG 3Dâ„¢: opening a scene file should locate object files correctly. Fixed bug where the About window in TNGViewer would lose its location/size (especially on Windows) across launches of the application.

@ JeGX: Thank you for posting this information, and sorry about replying so late.
Next week we should publish another update to TNGViewer; in the meanwhile, we've published a new demo on the http://tng3d/demos.html (http://tng3d/demos.html) page, which contains a technical showcase of a few rendering features available in TNG 3D.

The CoreEffect demo is available at:
http://tng3d.com/content/ced/ (http://tng3d.com/content/ced/)

You can also cut-n-paste the above URL in the related dialog in TNGViewer.

Enjoy,
Dario

Hello,

We have released another update (http://tng3d.com/viewer.html) to TNGViewer, featuring (http://tng3d.com/version_history.html) support for older OpenGL cards that lack rectangular texture capabilities.  The latest release also fixes a nasty issue, which prevented some popular models to be textured correctly: these include the free 3D resources from NASA.

Enjoy,
Thank you,
Dario

Hello everybody,

We have been busy adding support for multiple windows in TNGViewer; the current build looks quite stable, but we could definitely use some actual user testing before releasing it into the wild...

Basically, the File menu now contains a 'New' option, which will create a new, independent TNGViewer window, with its own state. This should let you view multiple models and scenes at the same time, but relatively solid iron is of course required -- if you have a modern machine and would like to test the latest TNGViewer release, please write us (info@tng3d.com) specifying your platform (Win/Mac) and system (Vista/Leopard/etc.).

The usual disclaimers apply, as this is pre-release software; furthermore, if you test the build you are supposed to send us a testing report.

Thanks,
Dario

(A screenshot of the test build is available here (http://tng3d.com/images/TNGViewer_multi.jpg).)

We have released a major update (http://tng3d.com/viewer.html) to TNGViewer, featuring (http://tng3d.com/version_history.html) support for multiple independent windows via the File->New option.
We are looking for testimonials from users of the application, in order to add them to our Web site: you are welcome (support@tng3d.com) to submit your experiences with TNGViewer.
