Timbuktu is a technology demo showing next generation mobile graphics performance. It is running here on a quad-core Cortex A9 and quad-core Mali-400 powered mobile device, rendered at a high definition resolution of 720p.

A key feature of this demonstration is the ability to use selectable graphics modes, this allow viewers to easily observe the improvements each graphical technique adds to the final render.  Users can toggle between a variety of advanced graphics features and viewing modes, including; wireframe, vertex lighting, fragment lighting, shadows, textures, specular mapping, normal mapping and environment mapping as well as post processing effects such as bloom and depth of field.

Timbuktu uses the open-source Bullet physics engine and features a physically modelled suspension system, interactive playable objects and real-time modifiable terrain.
