Linux Gallium3D AMD Cypress



While I was testing a piece of code (I hope to release that piece of code very soon 😉 ) with a Radeon under Linux Mint 13 64-bit (Linux kernel 3.2.0-23-generic), I took advantage to list the OpenGL extensions exposed by Gallium3D (AMD Cypress renderer) and FGLRX (Catalyst 12.8) for a Radeon HD 5850.

Compared to the last time I listed Gallium3D OpenGL extensions, 42 new ones have been added in Mesa 8 for a total of 187 OpenGL extensions. This is nice because Gallium3D is the default graphics driver under Mint 13 (and in other Linux distributions).

    FYI, the Radeon Gallium3D driver supports OpenGL 3.0 in Mesa 9.0 (should be released in the coming days).
