ASUS GeForce GTX 570 DirectCU II review index

7 – ASUS GTX 570 DirectCU II Final Words

Like the HD 6950 DirectCU II, ASUS’s GTX 570 DirectCU II has very good overclocking capabilities and is able to work at high overclocked speeds with very low noise level. The high quality components and customized PCB will make overclockers happy. ASUS’s GTX 570 is in the same range of performance than a Radeon HD 6970 while offering superior tessellation prestation. And overclocked, this GTX 570 is able to compete with a GTX 580 for a smaller price!

Pros:
– GTX 500 hardware power limiter DISABLED by ASUS
– Very good overclocking capabilities
– High quality components and FurMark approved VRMs!
– High performance cooling (DirectCU II)
– Quiet cooling even when highly stressed
– Backplate
– High tessellation performance (in both OpenGL 4 and Direct3D 11)
– PhysX and CUDA support

Cons:
– bulky 3-slot height cooler
– very basic bundle (no geeky stuff)
– backplate hidding the power LEDs
