thanks JeGX !!!
wow..thats a crap implementation of openCL..all the good stuff is only done on the CPU…GPU has no fp64 support.. and no dx9 or 11 interop at all :/
for fp64 you need 58xx 5970 or 69xx cards. lower GPUs don’t have fp64 support. thought it is support with properiaty extension cl_amd_fp64 which support 90% of double functions with some exceptions.
NOTE: 69xx is not here yet but on 99% they will have fp64 support.
@JeGX
Your links are incorrect.
Unusually, AMD decided for the 10.12 CCC2 Preview Package, they would split the downloads into Vista x86/64 & Windows 7 x86/64 (and not Vista/7 x86 and Vista/7 x64). Theirfor you have only linked to Windows 7 versions and XP. Vista x86/64 is a seperate download.
@Rik55: thanks, fixed!
wow my 4850 is partially opengl4.0-4.1 compatible now, it supports 62% of extensions and 53% of opengl 4.0
OpenGL Ext Viewer says this.
Hey AMD could I have some more of this? 😉
@Korvin77 ofcourse you can just upgrade your GPU to atleast an HD57xx or greater and you can have full OpenGL 4.1 support
one thing you don’t seem to see nVidia doing is artificially limiting Global Memory to half the available memory on the video card… I don’t understand why ATI/AMD have to do this, is there a reason for it perhaps JeGX do you know
