VGA Cooler: Scythe Setsugen (Snow Field) Available and Tested with FurMark

Scythe has officially released its new high end product, the Setsugen VGA Cooler.
This cooler features the M.A.P.S. (Multiple Airflow Pass-Through Structure – the heatsink has been optimized to fully utilize the ability of the included Scythe original Slip Stream Slim high airflow 120 mm case fan), a 120mm fan with a controller, a noise level ranging from 19.53 to 33.67 dBA for a total weight of 375 g and a price around 30 euros.

Here is a test a test of Scythe’s Setsugen VGA cooler.
The Setsugen has been tested with a Radeon HD 5870 and HD 5850.

The Scythe Setsugen is compared to Xigmatek Bifrost and Zalman VF-1000 LED. The stress test is done with FurMark:


Noise level under FurMark:
- high fan speed: 32.3 dB
- medium fan speed: 22.7 dB
- low fan speed: 12.7 dB

[...] Update: This morning (in Latvia its 10:46 in a morning) i took the chassis cooler and stuck it right under the vga heatsink,and this is what i got. http://gpuz.techpowerup.com/10/05/16/b07.png Avaradge of ~9.5c drop,i think it's safe to say that VGA is okay,but the stock cooling is faulty or just crap.
