From FudZilla, NVIDIA is working on GPU-based virus scanner. A way to sell more GPUs if the scanner works fine and quiclky.
The idea of a virus scanner on a GPU is not a new thing, the chapter 35 of GPU Gems #3 details a Fast Virus Signature Matching on the GPU. Seems the book GPU Gems is a source of new ideas for NVIDIA marketing department. After the virus scanner, we can expect an AES Encryption and Detection on the GPU
