ATI Radeon HD 5870 Has a TDP of 188W

Here are some parts of the final specifications of the upcoming Radeon HD 5870 (DX11 graphics card): 1600 scalar processors, core clock of 850MHz, 1GB of graphics memory and the board will have a thermal power design (or TDP) of 188 Watts. Keep in mind that Radeon HD 4870 has a TDP of 157W and Radeon HD 4890 has a TDP of 190W. As claimed in this news, AMD seems to have improved the power consumption side of the Radeon HD 5000 series.

seeing how power hungry is the new nvidia 480, this gpu looks great, would be greater if ATI lower this pricey gpu.
