The developers of ShiVa have published a new tech demo of their baby. This tech demo, called The Hunt, shows off some of the new features such as post processing effects (the DoF effect is a bit too strong or the zombie has a very limited vision 😉 ).
ShiVa is a 3D real time tool designed for interactive architectural visualization, media and entertainment purposes. ShiVa is cross platform (Windows, Linux and MacOSX) and among its features there are an OpenGL rendering engine (you have to read the log file to know it but in the same time is not too difficult to guess it because of the cross platform support…), Lua scripting, physics with ODE, OpenAL for the sound…
The bad thing is that the plugin for the web browser is automatically and silently installed even if you don’t want it. I downloaded on purpose the standalone exe so why the plugin is installed?
Stonestip just informed me that they have updated their installer and users have now the choice to install the web component or not. Nice news!
