Doesn’t already Steam comes with Catalyst? At least installing Stream SDK from here: http://ati.amd.com/technology/streamcomputing/sdkdwnld.html asks to install Catalyst 8.9 display driver.
No, ATI Stream is currently available alone but will be part of Catalyst from version 8.12.
What about HD 3000? Will they have ATI Stream support?
I think so, Radeon HD 3000 are based on the same kind of architecture, I mean unified shaders, so they should support ATI Stream. It’s the same thing than for NVIDIA boards G80 / GT200 and CUDA.
