Direct3D 11 Will Run On Direct3D 9 Graphics Cards

Good news for graphics developers: Direct3D 11 will be compatible with Direct3D 9 hardware. Direct3D 9 and 11 are very different so a performance drop might occur. The question is: will NVIDIA, ATI, Intel, S3 develop Direct3D 11 graphics drivers for their D3D 9 hardware?
